Top 5 Fall 2008 Make-Up Trends

1. Go for gold
This fall the trendy make up will be natural but spiced up with shades of gold and bronze. The emphasis will be on eyes and nails, but don't be afraid. As in the following photo from Tuleh, golden make-up can really create a fresh and fabulous look without looking old-fashioned. These warm colours will look great on tanned skin, but also pale-faced girls (like me) shouldn't be afraid of trying these metallic lids. Keep the lips natural and matte, and focus on your eyes instead. If gold around your eyes feels too much, try golden nail polish instead.

2. Dark plum on nails
Although gold is going to be hot next fall, the colours are getting darker later in the fall and winter. Last season it was all about dark blue or black on nails, but this fall we are going to see a lot of dark plum shaded nails. This definitely goes with the colour palette of fall/winter 08, even with blues and dark violet. Dark plum is also very sophisticated and feminine, and still not boring at all.

3. Red lipsIf you aren't that excited about the golden make-up and still want to make a statement, go for the hot red lips. The right shade is a bit darker than the red we saw last autumn, which adds edginess to the otherwise classic look. Remember to keep your make-up natural so that your lips will get the attention they deserve.

4. NudeTo balance all these reds and golds, wear a very natural and earthy make-up. It is all about healthy-looking skin with a touch of baby pink blush. Wear only one layer of mascara and avoid everything glossy or glittery.

5. Dramatic eyeliner
