Alayered approah was perferred, applied with alipbrush then patted and blurred with fingertips. For the faint of heart, a stain or deeply pigmented gloss will create the desired effect. Smoky irridescent mauve n- or olive - toned eyes finished this dramatic and artistic approach.

Something about me!
MUSEUMS - I love the Whitney, and of course the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Every time I have the opportunity, I visit these two museums for the new exhibitions. I also really enjoy visiting the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. The architions of the building is extraordinary. I really love museums and libraries. I get the same feeling around them that I do around churches - that there is something very sacred and somthing to be revered in them.

PLACES TO VISIT - I love Paris. It's so romantic and each time romance and passion for me. I love walking through Places de Ia Concorde. Paris is truly a magical city in which I completely lose myself. I also love the south of Italy for its authenticity and Greece for the tranquility. Closer to home, I also really enjoy visiting Cape May, a charming small Victorian town in New Jersey for its simplicity and calm.

SMELL - Fresh roses! They're one of the best smells in the world. My grandmother's house. This is actually a really difficult question. I'm running through old memories and it's strange because my favourite smells are usually connected to people. I lovethe small of an old book. I do love the smell of the ocean; I love the smell of fresh spring air when you go on a hike in the woods. I like the mix of air and the earth. I love the smell of burnt matches or burnt wood.

2008 Makeup Trends
Fall 2008 makeup is all about being bold and looking as sexy as can be. That said, here are 4 items you simply can't do without this season, so head out as soon as you can and prepare to look hot as the weather cools down.

Top 5 Fall 2008 Make-Up Trends
1. Go for gold
This fall the trendy make up will be natural but spiced up with shades of gold and bronze. The emphasis will be on eyes and nails, but don't be afraid. As in the following photo from Tuleh, golden make-up can really create a fresh and fabulous look without looking old-fashioned. These warm colours will look great on tanned skin, but also pale-faced girls (like me) shouldn't be afraid of trying these metallic lids. Keep the lips natural and matte, and focus on your eyes instead. If gold around your eyes feels too much, try golden nail polish instead.
2. Dark plum on nails
Although gold is going to be hot next fall, the colours are getting darker later in the fall and winter. Last season it was all about dark blue or black on nails, but this fall we are going to see a lot of dark plum shaded nails. 就只想著一件事
奧運的官方意義是 "世界大同，讓運動變成 universal language"。其實早在把 "國家" 作為分隊基本單位的時候，事情已經變得很複雜。
自問沒在中國運動員得到獎牌時感到特別興奮，因為這不是運動精神。雖然我也很明白為何我們特把中國的重點項目highlight，也明白為何西方傳媒特別選中國選手醜陋的相片來刊登。
運動是找尋自己體內的小宇宙，也就是比宇宙還大的小宇宙。有做過運動的人都知道，在關鍵的時刻，你應該什麼也不要想，不去想起自己的痛，不去想自己的國籍，不去想自己有沒有父母，不去想世界任何事情，就只想著一件事，一件並不簡單，但很單純的事：我要做好這動作。
我會做好這動作。
這一種去除俗世所有雜念的能力，是意志的表現。
奧運要推廣的，不是運動，而是一種能伸延到人生所有事之上的東西：

With the passing of Shu Uemura, the Japanese makeup and cosmetic giant starts a new era with Kakuyasu Uchiide.
Makeup guru Shu Uemura passed away last December and left his spring collection "Rebirth" as his posthumous goodbye for the brand. While the summer is almost over, major skincare brands are now launching their Fall/Winter collections. Shu Uemura's latest collection was recently revealed with high expectations from the brand's devoted fans.
Taking over from Uemura is Kakuyasu Uchiide, who became the company's international artistic director. For his debut solo collection, Fall/Winter '08 Mode Makeup , Uchiide was involved at every step: from the initial concept and designing product packaging to maodel casting.
"Many people are curious if i will retain Shu's style or bring a breakthrough to the industry. To be honest, i am not sure either. When i first started in the cosmetics industry, I knew practically nothing about makeup. I learned everying from Mr Shu and i feel like i became a part of him, my work shows traces of his style," says Uchiide.
He descibes the new season's collection as sexy. He says the brand usually conceys a feeling of innocence and freshness, but as a new direction they are using a sexy from a man's perspective. In Shu Uemura's advertising campaigns, there's an image of a seductive, smoky-eye nor the lips are the focus of the collection, but skin colour.
"Women with healthy and glowing skin colour are real sexy. Face powder is something you cannot miss this season. We did not expect such enthusiastic feedback when we first had this idea. Japanese medis loved it when it was launched in Japan," he says. Uchiide's hero product is the company's first-ever face powder, which lies between a blish and loose powder. Users an highlight their cheekbone and hairline after applying foundation.
Once the skin is finished with an ever tone, eye and lip makeup are the next steps to enhance your facial features. The colour tones for eyes this season are quite dark, with two shades in one case. One is creamy; oneis powdery. Uchiide says we can over the whole eyelid with the lighter colour and use the darker one on the fold and under the eye. "Everyone can master applying makeup. Or do it your own way is fine too," he says.

Wing is my favourite design among all the lash patterns, which gives me asense of freedom." He says more crossover collaborations with other brands can bring Shu Uemura new ideas and concepts. When asked who will be the company's next partner, Uchiide doesn't answer; intead he leves us guessing.

消防最佳組合捨身救人 隊目蕭永方經驗豐富 新丁陳兆龍獲「金斧頭」獎

【明報專訊】「快點上來救我們！這裏現在情况好危急！煙不斷攻上來……聽不到他們（消防員）的聲音，我們都靠少少吸氣（氧氣），一邊支持住！」火災之時，兩名命懸一線的女士被困頂樓，瘋狂致電到電台求救。消息指，有消防員聞訊衝至，將氧氣面罩讓給被困火場的市民呼吸，其中可能包括消防隊目蕭永方及消防員陳兆龍，兩人相信因捨身救人而英勇殉職。
女住戶致電電台求救
家住嘉禾大廈13樓的45歲婦人顏婉華，火警後逃至天台，曾致電商業電台 求救，當時語調極度慌張，「快點上來救我們！這裏現在情况好危急！快點上來救我！消防員都在下面，不能上來，快點找人來救……我們在天台，煙不斷攻上來（有多少人在天台？）不知道，甚麼也看不到……」之後，顏還被濃煙嗆到不停咳嗽，幾聲呼救後便掛斷了電話。據悉，消防處 聞訊後，已立即派員到場拯救。
蕭永方遺12歲女兒
顏小姐獲救後再接受電台訪問時憶述，當時與另一名女士被困天台，及後有兩名消防員到場拯救 ，但現場很大煙，看不清楚四周環境，呼吸亦有困難。她與該女士盡量靠近較多新鮮空氣的位置，而兩名消防員一直在後面等支援，但最後亦倒下，「等了一會後，已經聽不到他們（兩名消防員）的聲音，我們都靠少少吸氣，一邊支持住，一邊等其他消防員來救」。她相信，當時兩名在天台的消防員，就是殉職的蕭永方及陳兆龍，她獲救哭着問道，「不知道他們情况怎樣……」蕭、陳最終證實身亡。現場消息稱，他們曾把氧氣罩給其他市民使用。
被暱稱為「阿蕭」或「蕭公子」的蕭永方，加入消防處24年，已婚及育有一名12歲女兒，據悉他是消防隊中的體能教練，同袍都說他身形「fit到無得頂」，熱愛參加排球及龍舟活動，更於2002年獲頒消防長期服務獎章。

同袍稱，阿蕭曾於九龍區多個分局駐守，由於他喜歡駕電單車，而旺角 消防局便有救火電單車，所以他選擇調到該區工作，早前更曾於奧運 火炬傳送預演中駕鐵騎出勤。阿蕭熱愛工作及表現出色，故很快就躍升為消防隊目，他對新進消防員特別親切，亦願意傾囊相授，故深得局內上下喜愛，人緣極佳。有消防員稱，阿蕭救火經驗豐富，由他陪同「新仔」阿龍同赴火場，本應是最佳組合。
陳兆龍入隊1年 曾是運動健將
另有消防員稱，1年前加入消防處的陳兆龍，在半年受訓期當中表現異優，出學堂時獲得「金斧頭」（最佳學員）榮耀，前途無量。另外，陳兆龍於2002至03年在大埔 佛教慈航智林紀念中學就讀中七，當時曾與同學在聯校田徑組男子4乘100米接力賽獲得冠軍，是校內體育健將。該校陳主任引述同事形容，中學時代的陳兆龍謙虛有禮、熱愛運動，在接力跑的表現特別出色，教過他的老師驚聞其殉職消息時，感到非常傷心。

不知道為什麼今個星期特別多感人的事 , 在電視新聞看到兩名不顧置身毒煙中的消防煙帽隊員 , 在只剩下五分一的氧氣下還括身與被因住客''分氧'' , 結果因氧氣樽氣量及支援不足下雙雙''火局''死在梯間殉職 , 我又哭了. 是他們給我知道什麽是''生命無價'' . 我誠心向我們的真英雄致敬 .

家住嘉禾大廈13樓的45歲婦人顏婉華，火警後逃至天台，曾致電商業電台 求救，當時語調極度慌張，「快點上來救我們！這裏現在情况好危急！快點上來救我！消防員都在下面，不能上來，快點找人來救……我們在天台，煙不斷攻上來（有多少人在天台？）不知道，甚麼也看不到……」之後，顏還被濃煙嗆到不停咳嗽，幾聲呼救後便掛斷了電話。據悉，消防處 聞訊後，已立即派員到場拯救。
蕭永方遺12歲女兒
顏小姐獲救後再接受電台訪問時憶述，當時與另一名女士被困天台，及後有兩名消防員到場拯救 ，但現場很大煙，看不清楚四周環境，呼吸亦有困難。她與該女士盡量靠近較多新鮮空氣的位置，而兩名消防員一直在後面等支援，但最後亦倒下，「等了一會後，已經聽不到他們（兩名消防員）的聲音，我們都靠少少吸氣，一邊支持住，一邊等其他消防員來救」。她相信，當時兩名在天台的消防員，就是殉職的蕭永方及陳兆龍，她獲救哭着問道，「不知道他們情况怎樣……」蕭、陳最終證實身亡。現場消息稱，他們曾把氧氣罩給其他市民使用。
被暱稱為「阿蕭」或「蕭公子」的蕭永方，加入消防處24年，已婚及育有一名12歲女兒，據悉他是消防隊中的體能教練，同袍都說他身形「fit到無得頂」，熱愛參加排球及龍舟活動，更於2002年獲頒消防長期服務獎章。
隊目任體能教練「fit到無得頂」
同袍稱，阿蕭曾於九龍區多個分局駐守，由於他喜歡駕電單車，而旺角 消防局便有救火電單車，所以他選擇調到該區工作，早前更曾於奧運 火炬傳送預演中駕鐵騎出勤。阿蕭熱愛工作及表現出色，故很快就躍升為消防隊目，他對新進消防員特別親切，亦願意傾囊相授，故深得局內上下喜愛，人緣極佳。有消防員稱，阿蕭救火經驗豐富，由他陪同「新仔」阿龍同赴火場，本應是最佳組合。
陳兆龍入隊1年 曾是運動健將
另有消防員稱，1年前加入消防處的陳兆龍，在半年受訓期當中表現異優，出學堂時獲得「金斧頭」（最佳學員）榮耀，前途無量。另外，陳兆龍於2002至03年在大埔 佛教慈航智林紀念中學就讀中七，當時曾與同學在聯校田徑組男子4乘100米接力賽獲得冠軍，是校內體育健將。該校陳主任引述同事形容，中學時代的陳兆龍謙虛有禮、熱愛運動，在接力跑的表現特別出色，教過他的老師驚聞其殉職消息時，感到非常傷心。

四年一度的奧運會，以往中國人都只能在電視機前為國家隊吶喊助威。2008年，中國人終於能在自己的國土為祖國忘情歡呼。由清代末提出「奧運夢」的百年間，中國人過去一個世紀經歷多少歡欣希望、跨過幾多唏噓嗟嘆。新中國人昨晚都拋開如煙往事與沉重的包袱，為百年圓夢高歌。
奧運會為中國近代史寫下光輝一頁，故事始於1984年體操王子李寧在洛杉磯 奧運會上，以靈活漂亮的湯馬斯全旋為中國贏得3金2銀1銅的輝煌佳績。李寧的傳奇故事，見證新中國走上國際舞台，昨晚他點燃主火炬的一刻，牽起全場高潮。

開幕式壓軸環節，由曾奪奧運金牌的國家運動員在場內交接最後8棒聖火，依次為「中國奧運第一金」的許海峰、高敏、李小雙、占旭剛、張軍、陳中、孫晉芳和李寧。李寧接過最後一棒後，即被「威也」吊起，而圍繞「鳥巢」的屏幕，同時展開了一道虛擬畫卷，此時，李寧儼如武俠小說的主角，也像希臘 神話中的聖神，在鎂光燈投射在他身上的「圓月光照」下，凌空奔跑，畫卷隨着他的足迹展開，投射過去數月京奧聖火在世界各地傳送的片段。李寧凌空跑畢鳥巢一圈後，即用手上火炬點起主聖火台的引線，京奧聖火熊熊光照，也燃亮了中國人的心靈。
聖火燃點的方式固然技驚四座，但之前的表演環節，同樣令現場9.1萬名觀眾與十億計看直播的人發出不斷的讚嘆聲。
全球205個國家及地區共1萬多名運動員，昨晚8時08分首次在黃土上見證和平友愛與體育精神。在長達4個多小時、由中國名導演張藝謀 執導的開幕式上，鳥巢變成全球矚目的舞台。開幕式在觀眾揮動熒光棒、製造人浪與尖叫聲中開始，2008名擊鼓手氣勢磅礴，齊聲吟誦「有朋自遠方來，不亦樂乎」，歡迎各國貴賓。

第一間位於80 Columbus Ave. (即係我之前講過嘅Mandarin Oriental Hotel裹面) 係New York 最Hot嘅restaurant之一 , 1個月前預約 , 就有機會到35樓用餐 (但機會率不高) 套餐約$69-$95 . 估5估到呀 ? 係Asiate呀 !
第2間係Le Bernardin , 位於155 West 51 th St , 以法式為主嘅 , 生蠔同海鮮簡直一流 , 但麻煩就係一定要定位囉 ! 我只能說 ''The food is spectacular.''
第3間係以歐為主 , 係65th Floor , 30 Rockefeller Plaza , 餐廳名叫Rainbow Grill , 風景一流 , 但我好真呢間要著正式服裝囉 !

所以我今個trip住嘅3問洒店都係Manhattan裡 . 第一間係80 Columbis Circle到 , 個名係 Madarin Oriental Hotel . 係間好正嘅連鍞洒店 , 交通逛街都好方便 , 而且視野很好 ! 價錢$740到 .
第二間係Four Sesons Hotel, 位於57 East 58 St (即係Midtown到) , 服務好貼心 , 價錢大約$675到 .
第三間係我最鐘意個問 , 服務一流 , 位於50 Central Park South, 視野野絕佳 , 個名叫 Ritz - Carlton Central Park, 價錢大約$600-$1600 .
