The Boutique Diva

Question: What do you think about the Autumn/Winter 2008 collections? Any surpries?
Answer: I do not think it is a very exciting season in generl. It is just very formal, very black and very architectural; full of tailored clothes and restrained sihouettes. I would say it is a very dark season.

Question: Among the four big fasion weeks, which was your favourite?
Answer: Paris, by all means! It represents the perfect balance of industry and creativity internationally. I think London is always a bit of freash air and full of creativity; New York does not mean much on an international level, and Milan is 100 percent industry related.

Question: Which designer should we look out for?
Answer: I would say Christopher Kane. I have not seen such a string identity in a very long time, he is young but aware of what be is doing. He already masters his brand pretty well. Tammy Kane, his sister and his business partner and they work as great team. They always seem to produce a collection that all the woman are desperate to wear every season.

Question: Which brands appreal to you most this season?
Answer: I am totally into Martin Margiela's amazing take in 80s tailoring, luke the belt around a soft, roomy jacket, it is luke Giorgio Armani in 21st century. Riccardo Tisic did a brilliant job for Givenchy, those little black dresses are simply fabulous and he probably did the most exquisite coats of all brands. I always adore Alaia for his perfection, from simple twin sets to most complicated and refund shoes, it is hard not to liove it. And, of course, Christoper Kane for his sequined jumper and beautiful light dresses.
